Ralph E. Butler, 94, of Leipsic died 3:05 p.m. Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay. He was born June 8, 1915 in Henry County to the late Artie and Minnie (Miller) Butler. On August 18, 1946, he married Naomi Hermon and she died in July of 1992. Surviving are 2 children: Linda (Ed) Bratt of Leipsic and Larry Butler of Leipsic; 2 grandchildren: Melissa (Mike) Meyer of Ottawa and Brian (Shelby) Bratt of Findlay; 2 great-grandchildren: Cody Meyer and Paige Meyer. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Maxine Shawber and Geraldine Wilcox.
After graduating from Deshler High School in 1932, Ralph became a lifelong farmer in the Leipsic area. He was a member of the Putnam County Farm Bureau, school board president and a member of McComb Presbyterian Church. He was a very devout Christian who walked daily with the Lord.
Services will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday at McComb Presbyterian Church, McComb. Pastor Janeane Hopkins will officiate.
After graduating from Deshler High School in 1932, Ralph became a lifelong farmer in the Leipsic area. He was a member of the Putnam County Farm Bureau, school board president and a member of McComb Presbyterian Church. He was a very devout Christian who walked daily with the Lord.
