This Prairie View Cemetery was originally connected to the Presbyterian Prairie View Church. It was given that name because many of the people in that area were from Prairie View, KS. I was told that Mabel's parents, who were my grandparents, donated the land for the church and cemetery. According to Mabel's older sister Alice Lucille (Galbraith) Kelly, who's in Rose Hills Memorial Park, in Los Angeles Co., CA, Mabel was a blue baby. My mother was sad that her sister hadn't survived. Although Mom was close to her brother Morris, I know she would have enjoyed having had a sister, too.
