MINNIE M. GOODLING
Minnie M. Goodling, 71, of Mt. Pleasant Mills died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009 at home.
She was born ]an. 10, 1938 in Maze to the late Charles and Sadie (Dressier) Fultz.
She had worked at the Liverpool and Richfield shirt factories, Middleburg yarn factory, Lyon Fashions and Willow Drive Restaurant, and retired from Groce's Silk Mill, Selinsgrove; a member of Dressler's Ridge United Methodist Church and Richfield Amoulance and Fire Company-, and enjoyed going out to eat, cross-stitching and having friends and family over for a visit.
She was the widow of J. Ray Goodling, who died Oct. 27, 2000.
Surviving are three daughters, Barbara R. Sheaffer of Richfield, Nina M. Ferry of Liverpool and Karen S. Goodling of Steelton; five grandchildren, Lisa Messimer, Corey Messimer, Ryan Messimer, April Ferry and Elijah Blockson; three brothers, Marvin Fultz of McAlisterville and Eugene Fultz and Larry Fultz, both of Millerstown; and a sister, Darlene Straub of Middleburg.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline, in early childhood, and a grandson, Andrew R. Messimer.
Services were held Sept. 10 in her church, with her son-in-law, pastor George P. Sheaffer officiating, and pastor Britten F. Stimeling assisting. Burial was in the church cemetery.
George P. Garman Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant Mills, handled arrangements.
