Leslie J. Hathcoat, 93, of Ravenden passed away Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, at Five Rivers Medical Center at Pocahontas.
Mr. Hathcoat was born May 16, 1916, at Ravenden, the son of J.M. and Mimerva Haynes Hathcoat. He was united in marriage to Idell Holder on Nov. 27, 1937, at Ravenden. Mr. Hathcoat was a carpenter, farmer and member of the Church of Christ at Opposition.
Survivors include his wife, Idell H. Hathcoat of Ravenden; two daughters, Wilma and husband Gary Cooper of Salem and Debby and husband Roger Baldridge of Ravenden; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Many other relatives and friends mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his two sisters, Leva Morris and Letha Brag; and one grandson, Roger Baldridge Jr.
Interment will be in Opposition Cemetery under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Cooper, Chuck Ludwig, Kevin Scribner, Hunter Morris, Jason Baldridge and Danny Holder.
