Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Emmons, age 73, of Carrollton were held August 10, 2003 at Liberty Baptist Church in the Jefferson Community with Rev. Joseph Sansing officiating. Burial was held at Liberty Cemetery with Williams & Lord Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Emmons died August 7, 2003 at Humphreys County Nursing Center in Belzonia. She was born in Grenada and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son Lawrence Martin of Nashville, TN; 2 daughters, Brenda Malone of Carrollton and Frankie Evans of Morgan City; sister Syble Bailey of Grenada; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Larry Emmons, Aubrey Shaw, Lynn Haley, Brandon Ford, Mark Clark, and Billy Carver.
