MRS. DORA FARRAR
Mrs. Emmaline Dora Farrar died at the home of her son, Sam, on Louina Street last Thursday afternoon at 2 oclock. Mrs. Farrar, who was 83 years old at the time of her death, had been in failing health for a number of years.
Surviving among the close relatives are six sons: Homer, Britt, Sam, and Zachary, of Roanoke, Lofton, of Knoxville, Tenn., and Napoleon of Columbus, Ga.; one daughter, Miss Hester Farrar, of Roanoke; one grandchild, and two brothers.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. T. A. Edgar and the Rev. T. B. Jordan at the Standing Rock Methodist Church Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery. Quattlebaum directing.
Mrs. Farrar had made her home in Roanoke for a number of years. Quiet and unassuming, "Granny" Farrar was loved by all who knew her.
