George Donald Furman 'Blinky'

Sixty-two-year-old George D. Furman died at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Danforth Memorial Hospital in Texas City.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the 7th St. Church of Christ with the Rev. Gus White officiating.

Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock under the direction of the Emken-Lintbn Funeral Home.

Mr. Furman was born March 4, 1919 in Jackson, Tenn.

He was a machinist for Union Carbide and a member of the 7th St. Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, Ronnie Furman of Texas City; a daughter, Leann
Furman of Texas City; a brother, Cecil Furman of San Antonio and two
grandchildren.

Visitors may call at the Emken-Linton Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
