John C. Andrews, 68, of Lebanon died Monday, September 14,2009 in his residence. He was the husband of the late Melvia E. "Susy" Paxton Andrews. He was born in Lebanon on September 1,1941, son of the late John S. and Lillian Mease Andrews. He was a 1959 graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School. He served with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard from 1963 to 1969. He retired in 2001 from the former Alcoa Plant, Lebanon as a Finishing Shear Operator with over 30 years of service. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Cornwall, Holy Name Society, Antique Car Club of America, Hershey Region Antique Auto Club, Friendship Fire Co., Historic Schaefferstown, Pa Dutch Region AACA, "R" Field & Stream Inc and the Lebanon Co. Flower Club. He was an avid fisherman who also enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. He is survived by his daughter: ChristinaM. Andrews, Mt. Penn; granddaughter: Caitlyn; mother-in-law: Mary Lou Paxton, Lebanon; brothers: Edward Andrews and wife Doris, Cleona; James Andrews and wife Barbara, Myerstown; sister: Mary wife ofTomBarnhart, Huntington, PA and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Cornwall at 10 a.m. A viewing will be held Thursday from 6-8 p.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon and Friday from 9-9:30 a.m. Interment will be made in Holy Savior Cemetery, Cornwall.
