RICHARD EUGENE SEES
WELLINGTON - Richard
Eugene Sees, 54, of Betts Road,
died Sunday at Allen Memorial
Hospital, Oberlin, after a sudden ill-
ness.

He was born in Wellington, where
he lived most of his life.

He worked for the Ford Motor
Company for the past 19 years in the
Avon Lake plant, working as a line
worker and welder. Before working
for Ford, he was in the U.S. Army,
serving with the 18th Infantry
Division in Germany during the late
1950s and early 1960s and then for
Worthington Golf Ball in Elyria for
eight years, and then for American
Standard in Elyria for six years. He
was a member of the United Auto
Workers Local 2000, Avon Lake,
and attended the Emmanuel Baptist
Church in Wellington.

He is survived by his wife and
children, his mother, sisters, a
brother, grandchildren, nieces,
nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his
father Millard Charles Sees and a
sister.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the
Gerber-Smith Funeral Home, 16
Cooper St., Wakeman. Funeral ser-
vices will be held at 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday at the funeral home with
the Rev. Mike Hastings, pastor of
the Emmanuel Baptist Church,
Wellington, officiating. Burial will
follow in Camden Cemetery, U.S.
20, Camden Township.

Memorial contributions may be
made to the Emmanuel Baptist
Church Building Fund, 101 W.
