Scotty Joe Aston was born February 7, 1937 in Liverpool, Texas and passed away May 6, 2007. Scotty lived on his spread in Rowlett, Texas which he called Aston's Acres. It is home to his mule, Carmen, donkey, Luigi, two Belgian draft horses, Dolly her son Thunderheart (Bubba), cow Katie, and cats Fraidy and Valentine. He graduated from Irving High School and worked most of his life in the lumber business. Before retiring he was President of Metro Wholesale Lumber in Garland, Texas.
Scotty is survived by his wife Linda, his two sons, Gregory, Mark and his wife, Susan, his step-daughters, Lisa her husband, John and Lori her husband, Steve stepson Lanny, brothers, James and W.W. Aston and their wives Inez and Evelyn. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brooke, Peyton, Brady, Connor, Chelsie, Josh and Jay and a host of nephews, nieces and dear friends.
The family expresses deep appreciation to the bone marrow transplant team at Baylor University Medical Center led by Dr. Joseph Fay.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 8, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home located at 1600 S. Garland Ave. Garland, Texas. The Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2007 in Williams Memorial Chapel,Garland, Texas, burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Hubbard, Texas at 2:00 p.m
