Mrs. Ida R. Carlson, 69, Sandstone, formerly of 1717 Taylor Avenue, St. Paul, died Saturday, June 7 in the Twin Cities.
She is survived by her husband Victor; three daughters, Mrs. Royce (Doris) Lindemeier, Denver, Colorado; Mrs. Robert (Betty) Oredson, Mora; and Mrs. Randall (Becki) Bridenstine, Finlayson; two sons, W. Kenneth and Richard Carlson, both of Roseville; two sisters, Mrs. C. W. (Ruth) Sawatzky), Mrs. Margaret Sawatzke, both of Sandstone; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
Ida was born October 31, 1910 in Dell Grove Township, the daughter of Andrew John and Hulda Marie Gustafson. She attended Dell Grove School and married Victor Theodore Carlson, February 27, 1929 in Hinckley by Rev. Johnson. They lived in the Bass Lake area for ten years before moving to St. Paul where they lived for 30 years. The retired to their Bass Lake home in 1970.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, from St. John's Lutheran Church at Kroschel with interment following in the church cemetery. Rev. Herbert Rossin officiated. Casket bearers were Lawrence Gustafson, Gene Gustafson, Wayne Gustafson, Phillip Gustafson, LeRoy Carlson and Don Carlson.
