Albert L. Sheckler, 89, of Wilkes-Barre, formerly of Florida and Northampton, died Monday, February 5, 2007, at River Street Manor, Wilkes-Barre. He was the husband of the late Lorraine E. (Smith) Sheckler, who died in 1983. Born in Northampton, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Serfass) Sheckler. Albert was a mechanic for Suburban Oil Co., Wilkes-Barre, for 35 years before retiring in 1979. He was formerly a member of St. Pauls U.C.C. Church, Northampton. Wile living in Florida, he was a member of the Moose Lodge.

Survivors: Daughter, Lynette L., wife of Roy Woodring of Walnutport; son, Morris W. Jim and wife Donna of Hudson; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.

Services: 10 a.m. Monday, February 12, 2007, Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton. Call 9-10 a.m. Monday. Burial at Fairview Cemetery, Northampton, will immediately follow the services.
