HOLLY SPRINGS - V. A. Feathers, 74, died Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford.
He was born April 29, 1930, in Memphis, Shelby County, TN to Leonard Feathers and Lucy Rhea.
He was a truck driver.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Holly Springs Funeral Home with Bro. Frank Feathers officiating. Burial will be in Rice Chapel Cemetery at Lamar.
Survivors include three sons, Thomas “Tommy” Green of Myrtle, John “Buck” Feathers of Olive Branch and Billy Gurley of Potts Camp; four daughters, Caroline Feathers and Marsha Jordan of Springfield, Texas, Edna “Sissye” Harris of Myrtle and Beth Overall of Potts Camp; four brothers, Olton Feathers and Darnell Feathers of Southaven, and Herbert Wade Feathers and Lawrence Feathers of Olive Branch; 18 grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Feathers, and a sister, Dora Pinkham.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today.
