Mr. Reggie Lee Horton, age 82 of Quitman, Louisiana, passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. Mr. Horton served in the United States Navy from 1957 until 1962. He was an avid gardener and loved tending his vegetables every spring and summer. He was also an amateur genealogist and an accomplished wood-worker. Mr. Horton loved his family unconditionally, and he enjoyed spending time with his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Cindy Cross and Jerry, Kimberly Bell, Robin Nausbum and David, Keith Horton and Robin, Teresa Hibbit and Ronnie, Tony Hughes and Brandy; brother, Wayne Horton; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Proceeding Mr. Horton in death are first wife, Dorothy (Smith) Horton; second wife, Mavis (Hughes) Horton; parents, Delmon Lee and Nellie Ethel (Anderson) Horton; and sister, Doris (Horton) Wingert.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 5:30 pm until 7 pm at the chapel of Southern/Edmonds Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Mr. Horton's funeral service will be at 11 am on Friday, May 6, 2022 in the Southern/Edmonds chapel. Burial will follow at the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery near Quitman, under the direction of Southern/Edmonds Funeral Home.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Mr. Horton's grandsons, D.J. Bowers, Johnathon Bowers, Michael Horton, Scottie Lane, Jonathan Taylor, T.J. Weed, and Chris Moss.
