John D. Pursell was married twice. His first wife was Elizabeth Coshow, the daughter of Robert George (#24342283) and Julia (Perin) Coshow (#37195241). John and Elizabeth had two daughters, Eldora and Lozetta. Elizabeth is on the 1870 census. She died sometime between the 1870 and 1880 census. By the 1880 census, John is listed with his second wife, Marcia.
