Florence H. Heimbigner, 87, of Superior died of natural causes Friday at Mineral County Hospital.
She was born October 8, 1895. at Marshalltown, Iowa, to John and Iona Shettel. She was raised and attended schools in Marshalltown until the age of 16. She then moved to Chester where she lived until 1952, when she moved to Superior.
She married Andy A. Dunbar in Glacier Park. On June 9, 1934 she married Sam Heimhigner.
She was active in the Rebekah Lodge, Royal Neighbors and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Laura, and two sons, Charlie and John. Survivors include her husband, Sam, at the family home in Superior; one son, Delbert Heimbigner, Superior; three daughters. Ruth Warnken, Superior; Luella Schwenke, Kalispell; and Stella Beck, Wendell, Idaho; two brothers, Clarence and Alva Shettel, Chester; three sisters, Alice Heimbigner, Chester; Clara Hadford, Joplin; and Lois Clements, Missoula; 34 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the LDS Church in Superior with Rick Seemann, branch president, officiating. Burial followed in the Superior Cemetery. (Liberty County Times, Chester, MT, 3 March 1983)
