Laid To Rest
Mrs. Mary Benbow, wife of Nathan Benbow, was born in Indiana , November 3, 1833 and departed this life July 28, 1900, age 66 years, 8 months and 25 days.
Mrs. Benbow was the second wife of Mr. Benbow. They were married 22 years ago this fall. Mr. Benbow was her third husband, her former husbands names being Samuel Allen and Joseph Allen. She leaves ten children and a large number of step children, a husband who was faithful and attentive to her during her 7 years of illness. There was but two of her children present at her death, Mr. Benj. Allen and Mrs. Amy Paxson.
Mrs. Benbow was a devoted Christian from childhood. A member of the Wesleyan Methodist church.
Her body was laid to rest in the Friends cemetery at Oak Creek. The services were conducted by Rev. B.F. Hester, of Northbranch.
Mr. Benbow and the rest of the bereaved have the sympathy of the community. A large audience was present to pay the last respects to her who knows no sorrow.
