Mrs. Ora LANG, resident of Hillsboro during the greater part of her life, died at her home, 628 Mechanic Street, Sunday morning, June 12th at 6:00. Her health had not been good in recent years, but she had not been bedfast and her unexpected death was a great shock to all that knew her.
The remains are at the Bass Funeral Home in Hillsboro where the funeral service will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00. The Rev. DENTON will be the officiant. Burial will be made in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro.
Before her marriage, Mrs. LANG was Emily Louisa PADDOCK, a daughter of the late William and Letitia (BARLOW) PADDOCK of Hillsboro where she was born on December 2, 1883. At her death, she was 65 years, 6 months, and 10 days old. Her father, William PADDOCK, a Civil War veteran, and her mother, who was reared at Walshville, both were members of pioneer families of this county. Her father was a son of the late Mr. And Mrs. Abraham PADDOCK of Sussex County, New Jersey, who came to live in Hillsboro in 1851.
On September 10, 1902 she was married to Ora L. LANG, son of the late Mr. And Mrs. John LANG of Hillsboro. Nearly all of their married life, of more than 46 years, was spent in this community, except for short periods when they lived in Missouri and elsewhere in this state. Mr. and Mrs. LANG became parents of one of the largest families in the county. 13 children having been born to them, 8 of them are surviving. Mrs. LANG was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Schram City, Ill.
Surviving the deceased are her husband and the following children:

Beatrice, wife of Clarence OAKLEY of Hillsboro
Buan A. LANG of Norwalk, California
Bertho LANG of Hillsboro
Berton LANG of Hillsboro
Bonita, wife of William ADAMS of Topeka, Kansas
Dale B. LANG of Woodford, Virginia
Eileen, wife of Ralph WATSON of Hillsboro
3 sons died in infancy
3 daughters died in infancy
Surviving also are 27 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. William PADDOCK, the father of the deceased, died September 19, 1915 and Mrs. Letitia PADDOCK, her mother, died more than 15 years ago. She was preceded in death also by a brother, Byron PADDOCK, 2 sisters, and a half-brother. Arthur PADDOCK, the son of William PADDOCK and his 1st wife, Louisa M. (HOLDERREAD) PADDOCK. One sister, Mrs. Elizabeth P. MAYFIELD of Chestnut, in northern Illinois, also survives.
