She was the wife of Captain Henry J. Biddle. They had five children.


1). Jonathan Williams Biddle (August 1, 1855-September 30, 1877). Lieutenant, 7th US Cavalry, killed during service.


2). Lydia Mcfunn Biddle Robinson (April 9, 1857-1936). Married Moncure Robinson Jr., son of the well known civil engineer, in 1880.


3). Spencer Fullerton Baird Biddle (January 29, 1859-April 1, 1929) USNA Graduate, Lieutenant, US Navy.


4). Christine Williams Biddle (August 28, 1860-January 24, 1944)


5). Henry Jonathan Biddle (May 14, 1862-September 27, 1928). He was a well known geologist and scientific explorer.


One of the founders of Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC.


Her older brother was noted naturalist Spencer Fullerton Baird (1823-1887).
