Herman S. Shantz,86, died Sat. in London Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born in Wilmot Tp., he was the last surviving member of the David Y. Shantz family. He farmed in Wilmot Tp. for more than 40 years. He attended the Shantz Mennonite Church in Baden. His wife predeceased him in Feb. 1937. Surviving are three sons, Lincoln Shantz, Black Diamond, Alta.; Russell and Lloyd, Waterloo; six daughters, Mrs. Jacob (Salena) Cressman, Kitchener; Mrs. Arthur (Alfretta) Roth, New Hamburg; Miss Olive Shantz, Lowville, N.Y.; Mrs. Clinton (Edna) Habel, Grand Bend; Mrs. Clarence (Lyla) Roth, Baden; Mrs. Noah (Violet) Herner, Petersburg, 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren...
