Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. from the Moore Chapel in Ypsilanti for Geo. W. Cornwell, 75, former resident of Sanilac County, who died Sunday in St. Joseph hospital in Ann Arbor, after a short illness. Rev. Andrews officiated at the burial service at 4:00 p.m. in Washington cemetery at Carsonville.

Mr. Cornwell is survived by his widow, Mrs. Bertha Cornwell; five sons, Cecil Cornwell, Battle Creek; Clare Cornwell, Kalamazoo; Everett Cornwell, Ypsilanti; Orville Cornwell, Fenton; Eldred Cornwell, Tennessee; one brother, Fred Cornwell, Applegate; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha McDonald, Port Huron; Mrs. Owen Phelps, North Street; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
