Learadio aircraft in which George flew from Roosevelt Flying Field, Long Island, New York, to Wichita, Kansas November of 1939. He was transferred there by William P. "Bill" LEAR, owner of Learadio Corporation. George was Bill's aircraft radio liaison to BEECH and CESSNA aircraft companies there for World War II. George at his and Ginny's first house of their own in Wichita, Sedgwick, Kansas in 1941. George was sent there in 1939, from Roosevelt Field, Long Island, New York, to be the liaison for LEAR AVIA (founded by William P. "Bill" LEAR---the designer of the eventual LEAR Jet), to BEECH and CESSNA aircraft companies for thier Avionics departments during World War II. Ginny follwed him there from Long Island to enjoy their First Married Christmas together! Photo by: Sherald Virginia MELLEN Handwork, George's Wife. [George was 5'5" & Ginny was 5'4" in height. ;-)]
