Mrs. Maudie Johnson

HARTSELLE -- Mrs. Maudie Johnson, 71, Falkville 3, died Wednesday at 8 p.m. at a local hospital.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Wren, with Rev. Jimmy Henderson officiating. Burial will be in the Montgomery Cemetery, Lawrence County with Peck directing.

Survivors include the widower, Ed Johnson, Falkville 3; three sons, Percy, Buel, and Gerald, all of Falkville 3; one daughter, Mrs. Ora Deane Murphree, Moulton 1; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Elmer Coffey; Will Coffey, and Russell Coffey, Moulton; two sisters, Mrs. Merle Roper, and Mrs. Mamie Montgomery, Decatur.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

The body will remain at the funeral home and will lie in state at the church one hour before the funeral.
