Cassie Marie Anderson of Long Valley, New Jersey, formerly of Caruthersville, was born on December 16, 1918 in Caruthersville and passed away on November 12, 2013 in Hackettstown, New Jersey.
Cassie and her sister, Joyce, owned and operated Andersons Sisters Beauty Shop on Walker Avenue in Caruthersville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Maggie Ray Anderson, sisters, Jettie Anderson, Gladys McAlister, Joyne Anderson, Georgia Tidwell and brother, Wade C. Anderson of Puebla, Colorado.
She leaves the following to cherish her memory, her nephew, Randy McAlister and his wife Kerry of Long Valley, her niece, Dorothy Burnett of Union City, Tennessee, and several great and great great nephews and nieces.
Funeral services were held Friday, November 15, 2013 in the First Baptist Church in Caruthersville with Rev. Doug Boyd officiating at 1 p.m. Burial was in the Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville. Pallbearers were family and friends.
