Jacob Seth Jeffries was born July 31, 1987 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, and passed on September 4, 2009 in an auto accident. He was residing in Hominy with his mother, Rebecca, and Paul Barnes. Jake was born to Rebecca Ann (Burrows) Jeffries of Hominy and Randy Joe Jeffries of Wynona. He attended elementary school and high school in Wynona. Jake was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He loved family gatherings, spending time with his friends and just hanging out with his "lil' buddy", Leslie Barnes. Jake secretly loved any opportunity to look after his little cousins, Bryan Anthony and Connor Marshall. Surviving are: His parents: Rebecca Jeffries of Hominy, OK and Randy Jeffries of Wynona, OK; His grandparents: Leroy and Barbara Burrows; Glen and Carol Jeffries; and Ralph and Lillian Myers, all of Wynona; His great grandmother: Jean Dyer; Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and many friends. Jake was preceded in death by grandparents Bill Dyer, Dewey Burrows, Clark and Dora Ware, Mae Jeffries, Virgil Jeffries and Crayton and Lula Dildine. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the McCartney's Johnson Funeral Home of Pawhuska. Rev. Joe Hambright will officiate. Interment will be in the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery. McCartney's Johnson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
