He was born June 3, 1916, in Arkadelphia, Ark., and was a concrete contractor. He was a deacon at the First Assembly of God Church in Winterhaven.
Survivors include his wife Vera of the home; son Jerry of Yuma; daughters Lois Brummett and Lillian Burns, both of Yuma, Mary Leamons, Iris Trujillo and Kathy Coley, all of Winterhaven, and Dorothy Smith of Quebec, Canada; brothers, Bob of Winterhaven, Moses of Glenrose, Texas, and Garland of Arkadelphia; sister Katie Thomasson of Gurdon, Ark; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at Johnson Mortuary Chapel, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Richard A. Tevis officiating. Burial will be at Desert Lawn.
Pallbearers include Dave Burns, Ron Coley, Bill Smith, Bill Lebrecht, Gale Hail and Justin Jackson.
