Leah Caldwell was adopted at five weeks to George and Cora Baker Haman. Their family settled in Greenfield where she spent most of her life. She was married on June 12, 1915 in Hancock County to Albert Linder. They had a son George Eugene Linder, who was named for her father George Haman.

The following is obituary which ran in Hancock Paper on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 1980:

"Leah H. Linder":

Leah H. Linder, 85, Greenfield, died Tuesday evening at the Crescent Manor Nursing Home Greenfield.

A resident of Greenfield most of her life, Mrs. Linder was born Aug. 5, 1894 in Rushville, the daughter of the late George and Cora Baker Haman.

Mrs. Linder was a member of the Greenfield Christian Church, the church's Helping Hand Society, and Miriam Chapter No. 64 of the Order of the Eastern Star, and was a charter member of the Hancock County Memorial Hospital Guild.

Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Albert Linder, a son, George Eugene Linder, Indianapolis; two grandsons, Michael C. Linder, Indianapolis and Robert A. Linder, Cincinnati, and three great-grandchildren.
