She had seven children and is survived by Chad Allen, Diane Allen and her husband Rene E. Bressinck, Richard W. Allen and his wife Brigitte Lefeuvre, Penny Allen and John Mark Allen. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Charles A. Allen, sons Francis Avery Allen II and Robert Scott Allen, son-in-law James H. Larrison, Jr. and grandson James H. Larrison III. Known within the family as Doady, she is survived by her sister Alice Keary Starks, 18 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Charlie and Gloria Allen established a burse to educate priests for the Diocese of Little Rock in memory of their son Frank, a Catholic High School graduate and an editor at the Arkansas Gazette who died suddenly in 1965.
Visitation will be at Ruebel Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, August 24, followed by recitation of the Rosary at 7. Funeral will be at St. Andrews Cathedral at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, with Msgr. Francis I. Malone officiating, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Msgr. Francis Allen Trust & Development Fund at 1001 N. Tyler St., Little Rock, AR 72205. Msgr. Allen, Mrs. Allen's brother-in-law, was pastor of Our Lady of the Holy Souls parish for more than 50 years
