Services for George R. Gilcrease, Sr., of Montgomery were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Montgomery First Baptist Church with the Revs. Roy Moore and W. H. Wilkerson officiating.

Masonic services and burial were in Mount Zion Cemetery near Montgomery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Winnfield.

Mr. Gilcrease died Saturday, April 21, 1979 in Rapides General Hospital after a long illness.

He was a Natchitoches Parish native, a former merchant and grocer, a World War I veteran and a member of Montgomery Baptist Church. Mr. Gilcrease belonged to Masonic Lodge No. 168, American Legion Post No. 8, and served on the Board of Supervisors of Ward & Hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edie Carroll Gilcrease of Montgomery; six sons, Dayron Gilcrease and Glen Gilcrease, both of Montgomery; Bain Gilcrease of Colfax, George Gilcrease of Baton Rouge, Ray Gilcrease and Milburn Gilcrease, both of Sunset; a daughter, Mrs. Marcell Dyson of Montgomery; three sisters, Mrs. Irene House, Mrs. Myrtie Maxey, and Mrs. Daisy McQuagge, all of Shreveport; 25 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Grandsons were pallbearers.
