ANDOVER -- Steven D. Erpestad, 40, Andover, died Sunday, March 9, 2003, as the result of a snowmobile accident in Oak Grove.

He was born July 11, 1962, in Minneapolis to Mervin E. and Alita G. (Kuehl) Erpestad. He was a graduate of Windom High School in 1980. He graduated from Hutchinson Vo-Tech as a machinist. He was the CFO, vice president of operations and sales manager at AL-CAST Mold and Patte Co., of Ham Lake.

Survivors include a daughter, Brittany; a son, Zachary; his special friend, Deb Nickels, Andover, formerly of the Brainerd area; his brother, John "Buck" Erpestad, Duluth; and his sister, Ruth Sovell, Shakopee.

His father; his mother, Alita Oltmans; and his stepfather, Walter Oltmans, died earlier.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Ramsey with the Rev. Hilton Hammer officiating. Burial will be in the spring in Delafield Cemetery in Windom. Memorials are preferred.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home in Anoka and an hour before services at the church Thursday.
