Hilda Joan Nesmith of Lubbock departed this life on September 6, 2009 at the age of 89 years. She was born March 28, 1920 in Ocker to Diedrich Gerhard and Mary (Dirndahl) Stolle. Hilda attended Southland High School. Mrs. Nesmith was a member of Sheperd King Lutheran Church in Lubbock. She was a Meat Wrapper at United Super Market until her retirement in 1983. She married Bobby Lee Nesmith in Lubbock, December 17, 1948. He preceded her in death, January 27, 1971.
Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Diedrich O. and wife Cynthia Nesmith of Lubbock; one brother, Roy Stolle of Shallowater; one sister Ella Mae Stolle of Lubbock; a host of nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Beverly Craig. Hilda was a wonderful person and will be sorely missed by many.
Mrs. Nesmith was preceded in death by her husband; parents, Baby Nesmith; one son, Gary L. Nesmith; four brothers, Edmund Stolle, Walter Stolle, Leo Stolle, Arthur Stolle, and one sister, Pearl Stolle.
