Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend Alvin Leslie Green, 80, passed away at his homestead in Vernon on Aug. 4, 1997.

He was born May 4, 1917 to George Arthur and Martha Evaline Ekker Green. He married Erma Ann Fisher on Aug. 22, 1936. He was a member of the LDS Church. He worked hard all of his life and provided his family a good home and wonderful experiences to remember as the years passed. He loved animals and showed horses, rabbits and pigeons for many years. He loved horses especially and was an AQHA judge. He and his family enjoyed camping and fishing and annual outings to the Vernon homestead. The joy of his life was his family, his children, grandchildren, and his great grandchildren. He is dearly loved and will be missed.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter,

Di-Ann (Bob) Riches of Salt Lake City and one son, Chad A. (Deona) Green of Morgan; seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday Aug. 7, 1997 at 11 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary 4760 South State St., where friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to service. Interment Vernon Cemetery.
