Interment Etna Cemetery in Spring Valley Minnesota. In 1819 she attended the Seminary for young ladies, a Methodist school in Maryland. Lydia was the first person to bring Dandelion, Mustard and Rose seeds to Iowa. Helped make the first handmade American flag in Northeast Iowa for the 4th of July in 1852. She bled to death giving birth to their 12th child, who was stillborn.
