     Alvena Hauser Anderson, 77, Weiser, a homemaker, died Sunday in a Weiser nursing home. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Weiser Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Weiser, under the direction of Thomason Funeral Home, Weiser.

     Services for Alvena Hauser Anderson, 77, Weiser, who died Sunday, April 10, at the Weiser Care Center, will be conducted today, Thursday, April 14, at 11 a.m., at the Weiser L.D.S. Stake Center with Bishop Rex Winegar officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Thomason Funeral Home.

     She was born February 13, 1906, in Randolph, Utah, the daughter of Henry Joseph and Elizabeth Mary Norris Hauser. She moved to Salt Lake City in 1926 where she attended beauty school. Later she moved to Ogden where she met Faridon James Anderson. They were married May 26, 1934, in Weiser. The couple moved to Cambridge, then to Vancouver, Washington. They returned to Weiser in 1943 and have made their home here since that time.

     She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; the Haas and Unity Grange; and Fidelity Rebekah Lodge No. 7.

     She is survived by her husband, F. Jim Anderson, Weiser; two sons: Robert O. Anderson, San Antonio, Texas; and James Jerry Anderson, Idaho Falls; three daughters: Julia J. Foulk, El Dorado, California; Nancy A. Southam, Pleasant Grove, Utah; and Mary E. Bair, Folsom, California; five sisters: Nora Poulsen, Lewiston, Lula Funk, Tremonton, Utah; Veda Evans, Logan, Utah; Sally Crezee, and Verla Hauser, both of Ogden, Utah; one brother, Herman Hauser, Logan, Utah; 21 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

     She was preceded in death by five sisters, one brother and one grandson, Daniel Southam.
