Son of Jacob and Lucina (Gillett) Crites. He married Martha Shackleford, who was the daughter of James and Mourning Shackleford, on 3 Sep 1850 in Lewis County, VA. Isaac was a soldier of the Civil War. He served in Co. B of the 10th WV Infantry.
