WEYANOKE -- A Tunica man died in a collision that blocked La. 66 in West Feliciana Parish for several hours Thursday.State Trooper Johnnie Brown identified the victim as Jeremiah Harrigill, 23, 10164 River Road, Tunica.
Harrigill was driving a 1994 Astrovan west on La. 66 when it crossed the centerline of the highway west of the La. 968 intersection and struck an oncoming pickup truck, Brown said.The pickup truck's driver, Jesse H. Coates, 30, 1046 Drehr Ave., Baton Rouge, suffered moderate injuries in the crash and was hospitalized at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.Both drivers were using their seat belts, and alcohol use was not suspected as a contributing factor in the crash, Brown said.
Jeremiah died at 12:30 P.M. Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, as a result of an automobile accident in Weyanoke. He was 23 and a native and resident of Tunica. He was employed by Audubon Cable in St. Francisville. Visiting at New Life Worship Center, St. Francisville, from noon until service at 2 P.M. Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, conducted by Brother Bobby Clark. He was preceded in death by two grandmothers, Eva T. Nicholas and Zadie Harrigill. Pallbearers will be his friends. Jeremy was loved greatly by his family and friends. We all will miss him dearly. He loved and cherished his precious daughter.
Burial will follow at the Rogillio Family Cemetery, Tunica.
