Bureon L. WheelerFuneral Services for Bureon L. Wheeler, 77, of Knoxville, Tenn. will be Monday, Sept. 7, 2009 at 12 p.m. in the Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Cullman City Cemetery, with Rev. Dave McGowin officiating.Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Mr. Wheeler passed away on Friday, Sept. 4, 2009 in Knoxville. He was born on September 21, 1931, in Hawthorne, Fla. to Bureon K. and Susan Bible Wheeler. He served in the Korean War as a member of the U.S. Navy, he graduated from the University of Florida, with a degree in electrical engineering. He worked as a contract worker for NASA and retired from the T.V.A. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Phillip Wheeler; Herman Wheeler and Harold Wheeler; two sisters, Louise Baxley and Virginia Perkins.Survivors include his wife, Marie Collins Wheeler; a sister, Margaret Mitchell of Jekyll Island, Ga.; two brothers, Donald (Myrtice) Wheeler of Tequesta, Fla. and Gene (Becky) Wheeler of Hawthorne, Fla.; a mother-in-law, Sadie Collins of Cullman; two sisters-in-law, Martha (Kenneth) Martin of Holly Pond and Mary Collins of Cullman; and a host of nieces and nephews.Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 7, 2009 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
