Ronald Wayne Biggs, 71, of Loda passed away at 6:59 p.m. Friday (Sept. 4, 2009) at his home after a lengthy battle with lung cancer.

He was born in Robinson, Il. to Roscoe and Wilma York Biggs. He married Diane Marie Hoeppner in January 1975. She survives.

Other survivors include a son, Daniel (Tara) Biggs of Monticello; three daughters, Brenda (Mark) Bailey of Hampton, Va., Rhonda Biggs of Casey and Connie (Tim) O'Donnell of Mahomet; brother-in-law, Dan (Pam) Hoeppner of Louisville, Ky.; sister-in-law, Jane (Robert) Heekin of Pompano Beach, Fl.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles (Naomi) Hoeppner of Port St. Lucie, Fl.; grandchildren, Audrey Marie Biggs, Kailey and Madison Bailey, Jeanette (Okey) Facer, Christina Shonk, Loren Milam, Miranda Milam, and Baylee O'Donnell and great-grandchildren, Jacqueline and Nathaniel Facer, Eliza Shaw, Blaine Shonk, Landon Milam, and Preston Fisher.

He served in the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1977.
