Obituary taken from The Piscataquis (ME) Observer published 20 Jun 1968 p3: "WELLINGTON---Albert Cleveland Carle, 83, a resident of this town for most of his life, died in Bangor on June 6 after a long illness.

He was born in Elgin, N. B., May 5, 1885, the son of Abner and Dorothy (Blakney) Carle.

He had worked as a farmer. He was also the tax collector and town treasurer for many years.

He lived in Old Town for nine years, and for the past two years in Carmel. He was a Past Master of Wellington Grange, and a member of Piscataquis Pomona and the State and National Granges.

Surviving are a son, Alvin A Carle of Dover-Foxcroft; one daughter, Mrs. James (Pearl) Bailey of Carmel; one brother, Glenn of Cambridge; one sister, Mrs. Lena Buzzell of Thorndike; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step-sisters, Mrs. Bessi Bleckwell of Hopewell, Nova Scotia and Mrs. Emma Tucker of Elgin, New Brunswick; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services were held at the Fist Baptist Church, Cambridge, with the Rev. Alfred Boudreau officiating. Burial was in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Cambridge."
