Martha Ann Tindall's parents were William and Wealthy Tindall. She married Elias Fort in Wilkinson County, Georgia, in 1847. They were movers; each census found them in different places of residence: 1850 Wilkinson County, GA; 1860 Randolph County, AL; 1870 Coffee County, Alabama; 1880 Marshall County, Alabama. It is believed that Elias died in Prairie County, Arkansas, about 1885. His burial place is not known. Martha and some of her children continued their westerly move where she died in Nacogdoches County, Texas, in 1909.
