Roy Cutrell, 85, of Amarillo died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012.

Service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Hillside Christian Church Amarillo South Campus, 6901 S. Bell St., with Cecil Burch and Roger Arnold officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

Roy was born Dec. 31, 1926, in Direct to Herman and Ruby Cutrell. Roy married Bettye on Nov. 1, 1947, in Memphis. They started Cutrell Trucking in 1961 and retired from the business in 1992. Roy was a loving father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bettye, and a daughter, Sharon.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy DeShong and husband Murphy of Amarillo; a sister, Clara Davis of Lubbock; a brother, Marvin Cutrell of Washburn; three grandchildren, Kristi Allen and husband Tony, Chip Gress and Shaun DeShong and wife Michelle, all of Amarillo; and two great-grandchildren, Dustin Allen and Cassidy DeShong, both of Amarillo.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
