Cowboy, Rancher, was one of sixty cowboys to go to Washington DC in 1905 with Captain Bullock's Cowboy Brigade to honor President Teddy Roosevelt by riding their horses in the inaugural parade.

Joe Conlon was one of the earliest Forest Rangers in the Black Hills National Forest (see 1908 photo on right - Joe Conlon is listed as 5th from right on front row).

He was survivedl by his wife, a son Francis and a daughter Mrs. Leonard Wood all of Pringle, SD.
