Helen Withrow Robson of Ludowici died Tuesday, June 20, 2017. Helen turned 90 May 3, 2017. She was born in Ella Jay, Ga., and then raised in Odum when her family bought a farm. She attended Ga. Southern and became and teacher and taught a couple years in Ludowici when she and Jeff moved to Fernandina. She lived in Fernandina Beach from the 1960’s to 1980’s when they moved to Tibit. She was the Assistant Vice President of Florida First National Bank which is now Wells Fargo. She was married to Warren Nelson Robson 8/13/47 but was divorced several years later. When she and Jeff moved to Tibet they had approximately 5 acres of land and Helen loved working in the yard. She had a garden and a beautiful hydrangea bush that she always fussed over. And she never hesitated to jump on the riding lawn mower to cut grass. When you came to visit she was always up and doing something and seeing you had what you needed. She attended Ludowici United Methodist Church and never failed to read her Sunday school lessons and Bible. Her favorite past time was “working her book” as she called it - seek a word books and she also liked crossword and Sudoku. She was always willing to get in the car and go, she loved to help those in need. She was predeceased by sisters, Doris Vaughn and Geneva Yeomans; brothers, Carl and Gene Withrow; nephew, James Vaughn.

Survivors are 6 nieces, Carole Wild of Tifton, Terry Roberts of Jesup, Laura Harrell of Townsend, Jodi Todd of Brunswick, Debbie Oliver of Rome, Jennie Highland of Peachtree City; 3 nephews, Brad Yeomans of Jesup, John Withrow of Sylvania, Wade WIthrow of Clermont; several great nieces and nephews.
