Mrs. Adell W. Berkley departed this life Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999 at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born in Pittsylvania County, Dec. 25, 1906, she was the daughter of the late Peaches & Tucker Gunter. She was the wife of the late William Berkley. She leaves to cherish her memory three nieces, Brenda Gunter of Lynchburg, Grace King of NY, Anna Davis & husband of Danville; one nephew, Alfred King of Danville; one great nephew, Russell Christian Jr. & wife, of Savannah, GA and a host of cousins and friends. Mrs. Berkley was a member of Diamond Hill Baptist Church where she sung on the choir for many years. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 11, 1999 at Community Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Haywood Robinson officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home. The family will receive friends for the wake from 7-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999 and other times at 19 Wostdale Drive. May God be with you.
