FRED E. CHAFFEE, age 62, of Warren Center, Pa., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2000, at his home. He is survived by his wife, Judy, of Warren Center; three sons, Fred Chaffee of California, Shep Chaffee of Warren Center and John Chaffee of Rome, Pa.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Julie and Henry Champion of Endicott, N.Y., and Lorrie Chaffee and fiance Jason Hinson of North Carolina; five grandchildren, Michael Kosalek, Matthew Kosalek, Daniel Preston, John Chaffee and Kristen Sechrist; his mother, Ruth Chaffee of Warren Center; three brothers and sisters-in-law; Stanley Chaffee, Donald and Betty Chaffee, Thomas and Carol Chaffee and Kremhild Chaffee; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharyl and Ted Schwartz and Joyce and Steve Stanko; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, George Chaffee, and his son, Jeff. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home Inc., Route 434, Apalachin, N.Y. The Rev. Larry Jennings, pastor of the Warren Center Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in the Warren Center Cemetery, Towanda Daily Review.
