OBITUARY
OGDEN – Virginia T. Thompson passed away peacefully in her 98th year. She was born August 30, 1912 in Brigham City, Utah to John Ephraim and Alice Johannah Poulsen Tingey. Virginia married William T. (Bill) Thompson on November 23, 1932 in Ogden; their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple June 21, 1961. Bill died June 21, 2001.

Virginia was a member of the Rock Cliff LDS 4th Ward and served in the Primary for many years, in the Relief Society Presidency and was a visiting teacher.

She loved flowers and gardening, and absolutely loved and enjoyed her grandchildren.

Virginia is survived by her three daughters, Jean (Harry) Pifer, Barbara Stocks and Pat (Lowell) Hansen; 13 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren 5 great-great-grandchildren; also two sisters Myrtle Johnson and Lila Ralphs.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill; daughter Helen Jensen and grandson Thomas (Tommy) Lowell Hansen.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden. Friends may call on Monday, September 7th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday prior to the service from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
