MARTHA ELLEN KINTON FREEHAFER was the daughter of John and Mary Williams Kinton of Worthington Township, Richland County, Ohio.
She was united in marriage with Andrew L. Freehafer, son of John and Barbary Ann Sefried Freehafer, on February 24, 1862. They were the parents of five known children- Mary Catherine Freehafer who married George Washington Cotsenmoyer, Louella M. "Ella" Freehafer who died at the young age of 16, Albertus Leroy "A.L." Freehafer who practiced law and lived in Payette County, Idaho, William Emerson Freehafer also of Payette County, Idaho and Earnest Freehafer who died at the age of two and is buried at Bunker Hill Cemetery.
The 1880 Federal Census lists Martha as "Married to Andrew and Keeping House."
Martha Ellen, age 73 and a homemaker, died on April 22, 1911, in Butler, she was buried at the Bunker Hill Cemetery.
