DANIEL T. BAILEY, JR. March 1918 to November 2002 went to be re-united with Jesus and the love of his life, his wife, Kay on November 20, 2002. Daniel was born March 14, 1918, in Marshall, Texas and died unexpectedly at his home in Humble, Texas. D. T. as he was known became a football and basketball star at Stephen F. Austin College. He is a veteran of WWII, and served in the Navy. He joined Standard Oil Company where he worked for 23 years in Houston and Longview. He became Postmaster of Longview before moving on to become a Delta District Manager for the US Postal Service in Jackson, MS. He is survived by his son, David Bailey, Sr. and wife Glenda, of Humble, TX; his granddaughter, Michelle Gregory and husband James, David Bailey, Jr., his grandson; and his only great-grandson, Aidan Scott Gregory, all of Humble; also 2 sisters, Irene Wilson, of Pleasant, TX. and Camilla Williamson, of Corvallis, OR.; and all his loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Kay Bailey, brothers, Joe and Pettis Bailey, and sister, Elizabeth Nichols. A finer Christian man will never be found anywhere, Dad we love you and already miss you terribly.
