Mrs. Kittie Ellis, 78, Dies at Home Tuesday
Mrs. Kittie Ellis of Havensville passed away at her home on October 21 at the age of 78 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, C. H. "Bain" Ellis, who was a former County Commissioner of Pottawatomie County.
She was survived by her children; Mrs. H. C. Clements of Denver, Colo., Roscoe Ellis, Jr., Russell Ellis, Glen Ellis, all of Havensville; Mrs. Ruth Brenner and Mrs. Jean Henry, both of Tucson, Ariz., eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 24, at 2:30 p. m. at the Tessendorf Funeral Home in Onaga. Burial will be in Havensville.

Kittie Alllard, daughter of Perle and Lucy Allard, was born near Soldier, Kansas, March 15, 1880. She lived in the Soldier community until her marriage to Clarence Homer Ellis July 3, 1902, when they moved to a farm northwest of Havensville. Havensville was her home until her death October 21, 1958, at the age of 78 years, 7 months and 6 days.
Kit will be remembered by her children, relatives and friends especially for her gift of compassion and her unfailing interest in life even after illness.
She leaves her six children: Russell, Roscoe and Glen of Havensville, Mrs. Lenore Clements of Denver, Colorado, Mrs. Ruth Brenner and Mrs. Jean Henry of Tucson, Arizona. The grandchildren are: Ellis and Wendell Clements and Mrs. Ina Ruth Cox and six children of Denver, Larry, Wayne, and R. Meta Ellis of Havensville and Kit and Kay Henry of Tucson. She was preceded in death by her husband her grandson, Leighton Samuel Clements.
