The community lost two more pioneer citizens over the week end, when death called Mrs. Amanda Dart and Mrs. Rachel Smith. Mrs. Dart died at her home north of this city Sunday evening, at the age of ninety-three, following several weeks of failing health. She was the daughter of J. W. and Sarah Mitchell, who moved from Aiken County, Ohio, when she was a child and settled on the farm where she passed away Sunday. She was the widow of the late Chauncey Dart, and was the mother of John W., Jefferson D., Kibbie, and Joseph C. Dart, all of this vicinity. Mrs. Sarah Randolph of Porterville, Mrs. Alice Payne of Robinson, and Mrs. Josie Smith of Oblong.
Funeral services were held at the Prairie Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon with Rev. E. W. Fox delivering the sermon. Interment was made in the Wilkin cemetery.

Mrs. Amanda Dart, who appears elsewhere in this paper was guardian over an unusual number of descendants, with seven children living, all are located in this county. Besides there are ninety-nine other descendants, including thirty-four grandchildren, sixty-four great grandchildren, and one great great grand child. This is a family of which the community may be proud, since there are very few persons who can boast one-half that many direct descendents.
